I really like this one.  No expert, but I get a sensation of relaxation from looking at it.   A great sense of equilibrium.

Those are great.  What are you using for editing?

I have just been using free google chrome browser apps.

Polar is fantastically easy to to and powerful for tweaking colors and such... Its just has a few querks but no deal breakers for me.  I should mention it doesn't have a raw mode though unfortunately.

In the rare chance I need to do some editing to remove annoying things, I used Pixlr... Pretty much a Photoshop clone like Gimp, but again a free chrome app.

Oh and I love this camera.  All of these were basically shot in tourist point and shoot fashion - pulled the camera out of my cargo pants pocket and snapped away.  No staging or tripods ot any real effort.  Also just using the kit 16-50 lens in jpeg mode.

My old Nikkon D40 took great shots as well but it required all kinds of effort and skill as the low resolution really limited editing and you couldn't crop things at all.  With this Sony and the high resolution, its so much more forgiving and so much more portable...

So are those colors coming straight off the camera or from your editing?

That's the biggest thing I need to work on. My pictures don't have quite the same bright colors and sharpness.

I've been getting pretty good pics with HDR mode on my phone. Only problem is you can't HDR panoramas or when you manual focus.

They have a few minutes of editing with Polarr.  Sony always has washed out looking colors on their products.

Another D40 -> NEX convert. Pics look great man. I am liking my C3 but I think in the next year or two I'm gonna go full frame. Really liking that A7, especially with my old lenses.

I had thoughts about the 7 but between the camera and extra cost for lenses - it didn't seem worth it for a non professional.

They are getting close to the 1K mark used. I get the feeling Sony is going to launch a bunch of new FE bodies next year. Hopefully that will be the tipping point. If nothing else I will probably rent one if we do a big trip to Europe next year.

Every time I think I might want to go for one, I remember I'd have to get full frame lenses as well and I just think maybe a6000 instead.  :(
