I feel like they are easier to strip if you aren't as careful.

They're more easily ruined by rust IME. The little star points degrade very quickly, and because the diameter of the tool is often smaller than the diameter of the bolt, it often strips out before the bolt turns. It's also more important to get the bottom of the hole cleaned out so that the tool is all the way in.

Graham Jarvis is a machine.  He just walks past traffic.  So much throttle/clutch/balance control.

We broke a temp record here today, hit ~13C/55F or something like that. Supposed to be almost as warm tomorrow as well.

Didn't ride today but fired the bike up. Honestly wasn't expecting the bike to start after it's been sitting for 3.5 months (I think I rode it last week of October), but she fired right up. Ridin' tomorrow.

Rode yesterday, was just chillin' out enjoying the weather when a FZ09 caught up to me. I noticed he was riding like a maniac, we chatted at a couple of lights and I decided I'd try to keep pace with him.

Launched together at a couple of lights, I didn't have much of an issue keeping pace with him until we shifted into 2nd but that's also when we're approaching double the speed limit around town. He was starting to pull away from me when I looked down at the speedo and realized I was doing well above double the speed limit  Decided I wanted to keep my license and got on the brakes while this guy just kept going. Dat FZ09 sounds pretty good with a can though.

I hope he's alright. Sue the fuck out of that bitch. I broke a damn rib once because I ditched my bike when a silver Dodge Ram pulled out in front of me. Asshole just kept on going. In hindsight, I should have crashed into it so there would have been evidence, but it's hard to think about that when you are about to die.

That's a pretty bad break.  Hope it heals okay.

He's doing good! He went through a 2 hour surgery Sat night. He said they told him it'll be at least 5 months before he'll have full use of his arm also. I' didn't ask him if he was gonna get back on a bike but I doubt it. Last year was his (And his girlfriend) second full season and I think His girl will have the final say if he can get another bike!

That's a pretty bad break.  Hope it heals okay.
Yeah! Two bones penetrated his skin!

Hope he recovers well.  Never fun to hear of a fellow rider getting hurt. :(

That's part of what makes me so okay with not riding the street.  If I crash in the woods and hurt myself, that's my bad, not the fault of a 4,000lb vehicle getting in my way.  Scary shit.

Bruv a tree is no better than a car at speed

And if you're out in the woods alone there's nobody to call for help

This is just the risk we take..... freedom comes with a price

Trees don't pull out in front of you because they were texting and didn't see you.  Hitting a tree is like smacking a parked car.  If it happens, it's because you done messed up.

If a tree falls on a dirt biker in the woods, does the tree's insurance pay the damages?

The fact is that motorcycling in any form isn't the safest activity. All you can do is try not to go down and stay aware of the situation.
